Individual Therapy
Dr. Littlefield's psychology practice is built on over 20 years of experience. Her treatment philosophy is based on the belief that no two individuals will react the same way to life circumstances, but that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is, and continues to be the treatment of choice for many psychological problems. The specific therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the individual client's needs.
Dr. Littlefield treats individual men and women with a variety of personal problems including anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems, health concerns and stress in the workplace. She also helps clients cope with transition-related issues such as job loss,
divorce, retirement and illness. Her success with her clients stems from her wealth of experience as a clinical psychologist and in academia.
For over a decade, she was a research scholar and staff psychologist at Toronto General Hospital and investigated coping and adjustment among persons with a range of serious illnesses. She published a number of scholarly articles and co-authored a text on depression. For many years she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. |
